Between 2018 and 2021, the artworks that emerged from the Wom@rts project’s artistic residencies have been included in a roaming transmedia exhibition. Exhibition’s curator, director of UGM MAribor Art Gallery titled the exhibition Women, (Be)coming, howerver each roaming partner has developed new strategies for promotion of women’s creativity. 32 artists from the field of lens-based arts, printmaking and illustration&comics had responded to Simone de Beauvoir’s groundbreaking work The Second Sex that was published seventy years ago. The international exhibition of altogether 32 artists from 8 patner countries premiered in Maribor, Slovenia and later roamed to the partner’s exhibition grounds in Vilnius (Lithuania), Santiago de Compostela (Spain) Grand Angoulême (France), Rijeka (Croatia), and Limerick (Ireland).
