Dance workshop with Janet Novás

Wom@rts partner Auditorio de Galicia, Spain celebrated the International Day of Dance 27 April 2018 with series of dance related events in the frame of Wom@rts activities. The dancer and choreographer Janet Novás opened the program on Thursday, 26 April at 16:00, with the workshop ‘The Occupied Body’. The workshop gave 20 young female dancers the opportunity to gain new knowledge and to work with a world renowned choreographer.

 

Janet Novás, dancer and Galician creator, lives in Madrid since 2001. She works in the field of contemporary dance between cities Madrid, Brussels and Berlin. In 2008 she began to create and develop her own projects: ‘It’s off the air’, ‘Marieta’, ‘Face painted’ and ‘Who will save me today?’, for which she recieved many scholarships and prizes. She performed at prestigious national and international festivals such as Rencontres Chorégraphiques (Paris), Festival de Marseille (Marseille) and Danca en Transito (Rio de Janeiro) among others.
