Saga Becker
(born 1988) is a Swedish actress and transgender woman. Becker is known for her work on Something Must Break (2014) for which she was nominated for a Rising Star Award at the Stockholm Film Festival in 2014 and won a Guldbagge Award for Best Female Lead Role in 2015.

I’ve been a dreamer for as long as I can remember. A dreamer who through thoughts created my own worlds, stories and reality. For a long time I tried to adapt to society’s norms and expectations and it almost destroyed me. After being held back for years I dared to throw myself out and be true to myself and others. What has motivated me since then is my own creativity, my art. The language, images and acting. Daring to be both strong and fearless but vulnerable at the same time is a strength to me. Being skinless is my way of expressing myself. The elements of my art are my own experiences and perspectives. By sharing my story to individuals, companies and organizations, my ambition is to inspire them to think differently about diversity and inclusion. I’m able to make difference by just being myself and use my voice. The future is whatever we make it. I want to be the artist and role model I wish had been there for me when I grew up. I have been a strong voice for HBTQ Sweden for a long time and will continue to stand up for human rights and everyone’s equal rights. I intend to use my voice to make a difference because I know it’s possible to both change and influence. I want to be more than just a dreamer.
