Ovidie

From September to December 2018, GrandAngoulême presented in its mediatheque « Alpha » « Talk me about love » (parlez moi d’Amour), a program about love and sexuality  in all its facets in the frame of WomArts activities

This well-known feeling knows a major and recent upheaval since the arrival of the digital, the evolution of the contraception and the report men-women…

The aim is to make parents, children and teenagers aware of these developments with several stakeholders (intellectuals, artists, prominent activists …) and to address all these issues without cleavage.

In the frame of Wom@rts Meet the masters activity they screened a projection of the Ovidie’s documentary ‘What’s dreaming young ladies?’, followed by a debate in the framework of ‘When women make their cinema’.

Erotic messages and porn images are everywhere: on the web, on city walls, everywhere in pubs. Does this change the relationship to the sex of the new generations? Ovidie, a pro-sex activist in the 1990s, investigated a year with young French women. They trust freely and give a glimpse of a mutating world, where Feminist struggles have lost none of their urgency.

Parlez moi d’amour programmation ended with a burlesque show, inside the mediatheque in the middle of books !
